Mike Reeves-McMillan (author of Realmgolds and other Gryphon Clerks novels) told me about a review of a superhero novel called Sad Wings of Destiny because I drew inspiration for the Starbreaker series from Judas Priest, who released an album with the same name as the aforementioned novel in 1976.
Like the review says, you could do far worse for inspiration than Judas Priest and other classic British heavy metal bands.

I wonder what the guys over at Superhero Novels would make of Without Bloodshed, given that protagonist Morgan Stormrider has a healing factor similar to the Wolverine and a reputation with criminals almost as nasty as that of the goddamned Batman.
