About Me

I'm a long-haired metalhead from New York who writes science fantasy novels. I'm the author of the novels Without Bloodshed (2013) and Silent Clarion (2016), as well as short stories like "The Milgram Battery" and "Limited Liability". I live in central Pennsylvania with my wife, two cats, and a dog.

You probably haven't heard of me, but I'm not about to let that stop me. I'm currently working on a rebooted Starbreaker saga, starting with a novel with the working title Saint of Traitors.

I'm also the reason you should never trust programmers who carry screwdrivers.

I have a day job at a major consulting firm, where I work as a software developer and occasional sysadmin. I work mainly with Microsoft and Oracle tech, for my sins. However, I also have a strong sideline in Unix, Linux, and FOSS.

I've been using Linux and BSD on my personal computers since 1999. All of my computers are refurbished machines purchased secondhand and upgraded to max out their RAM and replace their old mechanical hard drives with solid-state storage. I currently run Debian GNU/Linux and OpenBSD at home, but also admin my wife's Windows PC for her.

You can contact me by email if you like.

For those of you who care about pronouns, I'm fine with "he" or "they".
